Web.com is a quality application that takes ease of use to new heights. With an extremely intuitive user interface that allows you to completely manipulate the look and feel of the site, the opportunities for creativity are pretty limitless.
Web.com’s main claim to fame is without a doubt its ease of use. This is a web design solution that from the ground up was designed to make it as easy as possible for a novice to create a great looking website without needing to have any HTML experience what so ever.
Using what is often referred to as a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface, Web.com’s website builder allows the user to drag and drop items and elements into place with total control. Unlike a lot of programs that severely limit the drag and drop functionality, Web.com has done a great job of making you feel like you can put things just about anywhere. It is precisely this feeling of freedom that will leave you feeling satisfied with your website, because it will allow you to customize the site and turn it into something that really expresses what you are trying to do.
The one major problem that we have with Web.com is that, while they make everything easy and customizable, if you don’t have a high degree of artistic skill, you may find it difficult to make your site look good with the limited number of quality templates that they have to offer. While they have a fairly extensive image library, the overall quality of their templates leaves a little to be desired.
Despite this, however, with some great ecommerce tools, an interface that takes about two seconds to master, no matter what your level of computer or web design skills, this program will make putting together a first-time website a cinch.
